ANGELSOUNDS FETAL DOPPLER REVIEW

Hello sweeties πŸ™‚

This is my first review on babyblog wiseshe. This product is very close to my heart and I wanted all of you to know about it.

This might not ignite much curiosity in Β ladies who are first timers with smooth pregnancies. For me it was a life saver literally. After going through a string of losses you are left with worries and concerns about your subsequent pregnancy. Your mind is always clouded with number of ifs and buts and Β one tends to naturally worry about the well being/existence of the baby in the womb. Though I got this product during my first pregnancy but before I could even use it I suffered a missed miscarriage.

It has been my life saver and angel in this pregnancy. I am pretty sure I would not have survived without it. I would have surely demanded or craved for several ultrasounds to check on baby if I did not have this product. The instructions say that you can start hearing the baby’s heartbeat from 14 weeks but I could catch it at 10 weeks and have heard it everyday since my baby started kicking. Once the movements started I minimized its usage as the movements and kicks were a big reassurance in itself. My ultrasound tech and doctor confirmed that the product is safe to use everyday and will cause no harm to baby at all.

Instructions:
I started using it at 10 weeks and found the heartbeat in about 5-10 minutes. You can find lots of youtube videos to help you with recognizing the baby’s heartbeat and finding the position of the baby. Once you get the hang of it you can find the baby very quickly. The trick is to start looking very low along the pubic hair line. The box says that you can find the heartbeat from 14 weeks onwards but I know people who have found it at 9 weeks as well πŸ™‚ You just need to have patience if you are trying as early as 9 weeks as locating the heartbeat would take time.

You need to use an ultrasound gel or some sort of lotion/oil to help with the transmission of the sound. I used Johnson baby oil and it worked perfectly well.

It works on batteries which you can get at most of the local markets.

It comes with a pair of earphones. The box mentions a transfer wire as well which can be connected to your laptop to record sounds but mine did not come with it.

Remember baby’s heartbeat will be twice as yours.

What I like about AngelSounds Fetal Doppler:

  • It is FDA approved.
  • Reassures the mother and helps her connect with the baby. It makes your first trimester almost stress free and fun .
  • You can start hearing your unborn baby’s movements also at about 11 weeks.
  • Very easy and handy to use and carry around.
  • You can use it everyday without harming your baby.
  • The father can also listen to the heartbeat so helps him to connect with the baby as well.
  • The quality is superb. I have used it almost 3-4 times a day in the early weeks and it still works perfectly. It has fallen from my bed number of times but suffered no damage at all.

What I don’t like about AngelSounds Fetal Doppler:

None till now πŸ™‚

Cost:Β
Rs 1500 INR. Got it at a discount online so it costed me 1300 INR. It is the cheapest in the market.

Unlike the other high-end/expensive models there is no screen to display heartbeat but you can count till 15 secs and multiply it by four πŸ™‚ Easy!

Let me know in the comments section if you have any questions about this awesome product.

  1. u know i was wanting to get this too but most doctors in the us advised against it becos they feel since most mothers are not trained to feel for the heart of the baby, they might not look in the right place all the time and may, every once in a while, not be able to detect the heart beat – this wud cause unnecessary tension and stress…so my doc said u can live without it and happily πŸ™‚

  2. thats true if you dont find it you might panic if you are one of those stress taking souls.. but with youtube at our disposal and if you are google savvy it is very easy to locate. i think for me not knowing if my baby was ok or not was more stressful so it helped immensely..
