Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash Review

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash

As a mom, the one thing that I cannot compromise is, is about the quality of products I use on my darling daughter. With greater awareness, thanks to the Internet revolution, now we can do a lot of research on all baby products and make the best decision for our little ones. I am very happy to share with you one such product that lived up to all its expectations, and made bath time stress free for both mommy and baby.

About Burt’s Bees:

Started in 1984, as a small home based business in Maine, US, Burt’s Bees is now a globally recognized brand in the field of natural cosmetics. All their products are 98-100% natural. The 1 or 2 percent not natural includes only safe preservatives. You can read more about their philosophy and standards here.

My experience with Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash:

The number one reason that I bought this product in the first place was because as per its ingredients and claim it is indeed all natural with no harmful chemicals such as phthalates and sulphates. I could not be happier with my decision. It is indeed 100% tear free as I let the shampoo pour over my daughter’s face during her hair wash and she is not the slightest bit inconvenienced – no redness, no watery eyes.

The product is not fragrance free, but the smell is very mild and pleasant – I cannot pin point exactly how it smells  it’s not flowery or spicy or citric or fruity – a very gently, pleasant clean smell.

The consistency of the wash is quite flowy. Yet, you don’t have to use more than a cap full. The liquid is semi transparent.

The wash lathers pretty well, considering it is sulphate free. However, don’t expect the foam that you get in most other washes.

Since you have to use very little, an 8 oz (235 ml) bottle can last upto 6-9 months. My daughter is 14 months old and we are now beginning to finish our second bottle.

After bathing, the baby’s skin or hair never feels stretched or dry. Never had any redness or rashes too. It is great for babies with sensitive skin as it is hypo-allergenic. It is perfect for all seasons – extreme winters or summers!

Availability and Pricing:

In the US, this product retails in the range of $7-$15 based on the size you buy and from where you buy. It is available in stores such as Target and CVSPharmacy. It is also available in most online stores such as Amazon and DrugStore.

In India, I was delighted to hear from a friend that this product is now available online at snapdeal.com . The listed price for an 8oz (235ml) bottle is Rs. 1900. This may seem expensive for a baby wash but for the number of months it lasts, you may definitely want to give it a try!

Overall rating:

This has to be a 5/5, with an extremely happy mommy and baby stamp on it. I cannot imagine using any other shampoo or was for my daughter. It is hard to find perfection in this world, but this one is perfect.
