5 First Baby Fruits Recipe
First foods for babies is tricky as they are used to milk only. Any new flavour is generally not welcomed. Fruits are a good start and are full of nutrients. Soft fruits like banana and peach are easy to work with. But you can feed more fruits to your baby with following recipes-
Fruits and Yogurt
- Ripe avocado cubes- 1/2
- Sliced small ripe banana– 1/2
- Kiwi fruit slices- 1/2
- Peeled and sliced papaya- 1/4
- Plain yogurt- 1/4 cup
Puree all the fruits together in a blender. Blend in the yogurt and feed to your baby.
Apple sauce
You need one peeled apple. Core the apple and cut it into small pieces. Take 2-3 cups of water in a pan and let it come to a boil. Cook the apple chunks in water for 10 minutes or till they become tender. Do not overcook. Drain the water and puree the apples. Adjust the consistency with water.
Banana Puree
Peel a ripe banana and place it in a blender to get smooth puree. Another way is to microwave the banana for 30 seconds and then mash it with a fork. Add water to make the puree thinner. You can also dilute it with the milk that your baby drinks.
Apricot Puree
Take a soft apricot. Add water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Drop in the apricot and let it cook for 45 seconds. Afterwards drain the water and rinse the apricot with cold water. Then peel the apricot and remove the seed. Cut it into slices and puree in a blender.
Apple and Peach Puree
- Pitted and peeled peach – 1
- Peeled and cored apple- 1
- Ripe banana- 1/2
- Water- 1/4 cup
Cut apple and peach into cubes. Bring some water to boil in a pan and cook apple and peach in it. When the fruits turn tender, drain the water. Add in the banana pieces and puree in a blender.
